CBNA to Hold Annual Homecoming September 14 & 15

Coe-Brown Northwood Academy is pleased to announce that our Annual Homecoming will be celebrated on Friday & Saturday, September 14 & 15, 2018.  The weekend will kick off with “Red and White” day for students on Friday, followed by the family friendly Comedy Hypnosis Show Steve Wronker’s Funny Business at 7 pm ($10) in the Gerrish Gym.  A full day of fantastic family activities is planned across the campus for Saturday the 15th including athletic events: Bass Fishing at 8 am, Cross Country vs. Portsmouth and Bow at 9 am, Girls JV/V Soccer vs. Oyster River at noon, Boys JV/V Soccer vs. Plymouth at 2 pm and Girls R/JV/V Volleyball vs. St. Thomas at 2:30, 3:45, and 5. To get the day started there will be a pancake breakfast hosted by the CBNA Chapter of FCCLA  from 8-10 am in the Smith Hall Lobby. Pre-sale tickets are $8 per person or $25 for a family of 4 or more, or $10 per person or $30 for a family of 4 or more at the door. Contact Mrs. Morales for more info at amorales@coebrown.org. Other activities during the day will include a woodman’s demo, silent auction, and activity booths. Concessions will be offered throughout the day.  Homecoming Saturday will end with a homecoming semi-formal dance sponsored by the senior class for current students from 7 – 10 pm. Comedy Hypnosis Comes to CBNA

Steve Wronker’s Funny Business, a comedy hypnosis extravaganza, will arrive at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy on Friday, September 14, 2017, at 7 pm in the Gerrish Gym on the CBNA campus.  Steve Wronker is a unique entertainer with a unique slant on the most hilarious, the most outrageous, and the funniest form of comedy available in today’s entertainment market, and the SWFB comedy hypnosis show is extremely different from any other hypnosis show available. Audience members become the stars of the show. A true entertainer, Steve puts audience volunteers into his show and orchestrates a program of absolute hilarity! With over 300 family friendly routines to choose from, no two shows are alike! The show is being sponsored by CBNA Theatre and kicks off CBNA’s annual CBNA Homecoming. Coe-Brown Northwood Academy New Staff

Coe-Brown Northwood Academy is pleased to introduce the newest members of its staff for the 2018-2019 school year.

Colby Baker

Colby Baker joins the faculty in the area of Choral Music. In his third year of education, Mr. Baker holds degrees from the College of the Holy Cross and the University of Florida. He will also be directing the CBNA select chorus as well as serving as the music director for CBNA Theatre musical productions.

Amanda Dooda

Amanda Dooda joins the CBNA faculty in the area of Social Studies. Ms. Dooda holds degrees from the University of Southern Maine and from the University of New Hampshire and brings six years of teaching experience to the Coe-Brown community.

Alexander Drew

Alexander Drew joins CBNA as a paraprofessional with three years’ experience in education. He holds degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Great Bay Community College.

Jon Ludwig

Jon Ludwig joins CBNA faculty in the area of instrumental music.  Mr. Ludwig brings seven years of teaching expertise to CBNA with degrees from the University of New Hampshire and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He will also be taking the reins of the CBNA Pep Band and the Jazz Ensemble.

Daniel Rawls

Daniel Rawls joins the CBNA staff as a paraprofessional. Mr. Rawls attended the Community College of the Air Force and the Graduate School of the University of New Hampshire and will be working with students in the Student Services Division.

Jennifer Sommerer

Jennifer Sommerer is the newest member of the CBNA World Language faculty in the area of Spanish. Ms. Sommerer attended Kennesaw State University, Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, and Bowling Green State University. She brings five years’ experience in education to CBNA, and plans to work with students in the National Spanish Honor Society and Student Travel Abroad as well as with other staff members on the school Safety Committee.

Nettie Stiman

Nettie Stiman joins the CBNA staff as a paraprofessional. Ms. Stiman attended Plymouth State University and will be working with students as member of the CBNA Student Services Division.

Steven Wedick

Steven Wedick brings seven years of teaching experience to CBNA as the new Auto Mechanics and Welding Instructor. He attended NHTI Nashua and will be working with students in the Division of Life Skills.
