CBNA FBLA Attends State Leadership Conference

Recently, members of the Coe-Brown Northwood Academy chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the 47th Annual State Leadership Conference in Manchester, NH, an overnight event which included workshops, activities and competitions in business, computers, economics, and communication skills. FBLA members from the CBNA chapter who participated include Alma Li of Nottingham, who competed in Business Calculations; Haillie Holland of Northwood, in Help Desk; Joseph White of Northwood in Introduction to Financial Math; Travis Carbone of Northwood in Public Speaking; Matthew Ramstrom of Barrington in Economics; Shane Cameron of Barrington in Global Business; and Evan Menard of Nottingham in Client Services. Students were accompanied by their advisor, Dr. Joann Zylak. Winners for the FBLA CBNA chapter were Joseph White and Evan Menard who placed third in their competitive events and Shane Cameron and Hailie Holland who took first place in their events. Hailie Holland also received a partial scholarship from the state FBLA chapter to attend the conference. The CBNA chapter received a number awards for different projects and competitive events, including receiving first place in the state projects “Helping Those Less Fortunate”, “Increasing Chapters in NH” and “Opioid Crisis in NH”. In addition, the CBNA chapter received the NH FBLA Honor Chapter award. Hailie Holland received the Who’s Who in NH FBLA award, and Joseph White’s award will enable him to attend National Leadership Conference in Texas this summer. Congratulations to all.
