Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, founded in 1867, is a comprehensive secondary institution offering high-quality curriculum to students in Barrington, Deerfield, Northwood, Nottingham, Strafford, and surrounding communities. Certified by the State of New Hampshire as a Public Academy, providing a dynamic and inclusive learning experience.

Coe-Brown Northwood Academy is chartered by the State of New Hampshire and governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees. The Academy is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and recognized as an approved public academy by the New Hampshire Department of Education. Approximately 80% of CBNA graduates continue their academic education in a post-secondary college program. Other Coe-Brown graduates join varying military branches or enter the work force as productive citizens immediately after high school.

Success of Coe-Brown students is of vital importance to the Academy. Instruction has been structured with supports in place to ensure that students flourish academically. Specific programs offered include:
Math Lab
Open during every study hall throughout the day, providing homework help, and staffed by mathematics instructors.
Assisted Study
Offered to students who need a smaller, more structured, and supportive study hall.
Project Success
An after-school opportunity for students who are struggling academically to meet with teachers, receive assistance in organization and study habits, as well as a quiet place to work.
Student Writing Center
Trained student writing coaches meet with students in study halls & classes to develop stronger writing skills.
Reading Specialist
Individual assessment of each student and the creation of Reading Improvement Programs when needed.

Having experienced two high schools during my tenure, the atmosphere is superior. It has been very welcoming and enjoyable. Teachers here are so much more invested into their students, they care and stay dedicated. A lot of them are also very wise and you can go to them for strong life advice.
