The Mission of the Coe-Brown Northwood Academy Writing Center
Our mission is to provide an inviting and supportive environment in which student writers from across the school community can collaborate and engage in dialogue about the writing process in order to become stronger writers who are capable of crafting the best written pieces possible.
Our Writing Consultants
Our consultants are trained, experienced, passionate writers who are excited to give back to the community by conferencing with you on your writing. They are juniors and seniors who have displayed excellence in writing, including Honors and AP English coursework at CBNA.
Scheduling an Appointment
Located in room 105, conferences can be scheduled through your teacher or via an emailed appointment request.

Conference Schedule
We are available all blocks of the day during study hall, before school, and after school.
What to Bring: A copy of the assignment or prompt, two copies of your writing, and a pen or pencil.
The Conference Process
You will complete a brief pre-conference form, discuss your goals, read your writing aloud, and work through targeted feedback with your consultant. You will leave with notes to support revision.

- Drafting: Support on first, second, or final drafts.
- Revision: Focused suggestions tailored to your specific writing goals.
