Welcome to the Development and Alumni Affairs Office.
The Development Office facilitates interaction between the Academy and its alumni, parents and friends. The Academy depends on the generous support of all our constituents in order to meet our goals. There are many different ways you can contribute to the Academy. For more information contact Rhoda Sommer using the contact information to the right.
Making a gift to Coe-Brown Northwood Academy
The simplest way to give is by making a donation to our Annual Campaign. Each year your generous donations help to fund projects not covered by tuition. You can donate on line using PayPal, or by writing a check. If you wish to mail a check, send it to CBNA Development, Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, 907 First New Hampshire Turnpike, Northwood, NH 03261. Matching Gifts
More than 1,000 companies offer matching gift programs and many provide this benefit to spouses/partners and to retired employees. Most corporate matching gifts are unrestricted and substantially increase the value of the individual’s gift. Check with the human resources office at your company to obtain a matching gift form. Complete and mail the form to CBNA Development, Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, 907 First New Hampshire Turnpike, Northwood, NH 03261.
Events
Coe-Brown hosts a golf tournament each year to raise money for the Academy’s endowment fund. It is held the second Saturday in June at Nippo Lake Golf Club in Barrington. The CBNA Paul Guptill ’52 Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament is a great way to reconnect with old friends or to meet new ones, all to benefit the students at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy. Sponsorships are available and raffle items gratefully accepted. Contact: alumni@coebrown.org.
Bequests
Bequests are an important source of annual support and give schools the opportunity to build endowment for the future. This kind of gift is a powerful way to help shape the future of a beloved institution with a larger gift than one could make in his or her lifetime. Your bequest may be for a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or part or all of the residue of your estate after other specific bequests have been paid. The Development Office will be happy to discuss options with you, although all arrangements should be made through your attorney or another professional advisor. Please call 603-942-5531, ext. 186, for more information, and download the Planned Giving brochure.
Naming Opportunities
Many donors give to Coe-Brown in the name of a loved one. Major gifts of $10,000 or more can be given to provide financial support for a particular program and/or to name a particular space. There are many choices and options. The Development Office will be happy to work with you to structure a gift that will accomplish your goals. Please call 603-942-5531, ext. 186.
In-Kind Contributions
Coe-Brown Northwood Academy benefits from services offered as a contribution that would otherwise cost the Academy money. For example, Coe-Brown’s Wall of Remembrance in the Dining Center was recently completed with tile and carpentry work donated by community members. Printing services, photographic, legal, architectural, engineering, financial—any professional service can be a tremendous source of support for Coe-Brown. Please contact the Headmaster at 603-942-5531, ext. 102, if you think you may be able to contribute professional services. Gifts of equipment and materials (for example, a camera for the photography program, a tractor for the forestry program or a car for the automotive program) are often welcome. Contact the Development Office at 603-942-5531, ext. 186 to discuss your gift in kind.
